Heat and mix the "Pendit" CA and the polyethyleneglycol 400 distearate until a thick jellylike material having a clear or translucent appearance is formed. Dissolve the salt in a small portion of the water. Heat the remaining water to 160'F. Add the heated water to the first two ingredients. Mix at 160'F. for 15 to 30 minutes. Cool the batch slowly with moderate agitation. Between 150 and 140'F., add the salt solution and the color. Incorporate the perfume at 120'F. Some increase in agitation may be necessary at approximately 90'f. at which point the composition tends too gel. Continue the agitation until the batch cools to room temperature. An opaque, viscous liquid is formed.
Pearlescence develops in the formulation after standing for a few days.
Directions for Use Pour approximately 1 oz. of cream rinse into an 8-oz. container. fill the container with tepid water. Stir well and pour through the hair.
