Sucker-Rod Protection |
配制方法: |
In oil wells, sucker-rod breakage is a serious and costly corrosion damage occurring in the well system. Rates of corrosion which are not serious with respect to the casing, valves, etc., are still sufficient to cause weakening of the sucker rods. Since the mechanical stress on these rods is very great, minor pitting of rods usually results in breakage. For this reason, even "sweet" wells are subject to high corrosion costs, mainly due to sucker-rod failure. "Armeen" T has given excellent protection in this type of service. The introduction of 10 ppm. (based on the produced liquid) of "Armeen" T into a California sweet well resulted in no rod breakage over a 1-year observation period. |
