Crush Resistant Finish (100 Gallons Finished Volume) |
配方组成: |
or A typical formulation for imparting dimensional stability, crush-resistance, and durable hand to a light weight fabric such as shirting or dress goods consists of: (100 Gallons Finished Volume Cationic softener (1.9% solution, approx.)/16 lb. 80% solids melamine-formaldehyde resin (7% solution, approx.)/60 lb. Suitable catalyst for resin used. 80% Solids melamine-formaldehyde (7% solution, approx.)/60 lb. 50% solids urea-formaldehyde (10% solution, approx.)/80 lb. Suitable catalyst for resin used. "Penford" Finishing Gum 3XL (4.7% solution, approx.)/40 lb. "Penford" Finishing Gum 3XP (1.5% to 3% solution, approx.)/12 to 25 lb. Cationic softener (1.2% solution, approx.)/10 lb. or 50% solids urea-formaldehyde resin (10% solution, approx.)/80 lb. |

Experience has indicated that a 10% solution of a 50% dry substance urea-formaldehyde resin (or equivalent solids of a melamine-formaldehyde resin) in conjunction with "Penford" Finishing Gums is required to impart dimensional stability and crush resistance to a fabric, while only a 6% similar resin solution in conjunction with Penford Finishing Gum is necessary for stabilization without crush resistance. Retention of hand after repeated launderings can be obtained in Penford Finishing Gum---resin finished fabrics with a 2% solution of a 50% dry substance urea-formaldehyde or with a 1.2% solution of an 80% melamine resin. It should be noted that the lesser amounts of resin will not provide crush resistance or dimensional stability. |
