Slick Finish |
配制方法: |
A mar-resistant surface or "slickness" can be imparted to a finish coat by incorporating about 1 oz. to the gallon of paraffin wax, petrolatum, or similar material. The wax is not compatible with the film; therefore, it exudes to t he surface and gives the "slick' feel. It cannot be used in air-drying finishes because it retards oxidation tremendously. Also, it should not be used in baking undercoats because it detracts from the adhesion of subsequent coats. The wax can be dissolved in a suitable solvent at concentrations of about 10%, and up to 10% of wax solution added for a concentration of 1% wax in the formulation. Caution should be observed, for too high a concentration causes some haze and tends to reduce the gloss as well as to produce an oily appearance on the surface; 1% of wax may be abnormally high. |
