Nautral and Synthetic Rubbers "Castorwax" is highly compatible with synthetic and natural rubbers. It improves processing and reduces the nerve of the rubber with no or minimal loss in physical properties. It assists in the dispersion of dry materials and improves the extrusion rate with better knitting, imparting excellent shape retention on extrusion with less shrinkage of molded goods.
When used at a level of from 1.5 parts in the molding of butadiene-styrene into shoe soles and heels, "Castorwax" provides mold release and antiblocking with a dry feel. It imparts a luster to the finished product without blooming.
"Paricin" 220 at 1 to 2 parts PHR in molded rubber products gives good appearance and high sheen. Hydroxystearic acid functions as an activator and internal lubricant for natural and synthetic rubbers.
