Activated Bleach for Cotton Tape
$G: A. Scour

After filling the machine with water and chemicals, the tape is loaded into the tub. The temperature is then raised to 200'F and held for 45 minutes. Dump rinse for 15 minutes at 160'F.
$G: B. Bleach Caustic, dry Alkyl-aryl amine salt Sodium silicate 42'Be TSPP Chemic, 15% Peroxide, 35% After refilling machine with cold water, add the above chemicals except for the hydrogen peroxide. Raise temperature to 150'F in 10 min and hold for 20 min. Then slowly add the hydrogen peroxide and raise temperature to 200'F for 45 min. Dump and refill.
$G: C. Finish Acetic acid 56% Rinse goods twice at 160'F for 10 min each. Then refill the machine and add the acetic acid and rinse for 10 min at 140'F.
Note: If an optical brightener is to be used, add 0.25% to the bleach after the peroxide has been added and 0.25% to the third rinse.
