Put the hair in the above, loosely or in open-weave cotton bags.
Keep submerged for 4-15 hr. Adjust pH to 8.5-9.5 with pyrophosphate. A more active bleaching results if the pyrophosphate is replaced by sodium silicate (42'Be'). Next wash free from detergent and alkali.
Finally wash with cold water; Dry by centrifuge or wringer and then with hot air. |
