Filter before using. Immerse the article for ten minutes in this solution and then allow to dry in air for 30 minutes. Following this treatment, soak it for 20 minutes in 5% hydrochloric acid and then wash with water until free of acid.
Nylon articles, such as combs, hair-brush backs, tooth-brush handles and bristles, and surgical gauze and bandages may be made permanently self-sterilizing by this treatment. |
