Dissolve 1000 g of Polyester H (solid resin) in 1000 g ethyl acetate and filter the solution through a pressure filter. Dissolve 30 g tert-butyl perbenzoate in the solution and add 350 g diallyl phthalate.
Mix in 2700 g asbestos, 100 g titanium dioxide, 50 g calcium stearate, and 20 g "Monastral" Green. Transfer the mixture to a heavy-duty dough mixer and mix for about half an hour, or until most of the ethyl acetate has been evaporated. It may be necessary to apply some heat to help the evaporation. Mill the compound on a two-roll mill at 75 to 85'C until proper flow has been obtained. Remove and cool the compound which at room temperature is a rather stiff putty-like mass with a slight surface tackiness. Cure the molding compound at 150 to 170'C for 2 to 5 minutes at a pressure of 500 to 1000 psi in a compression mold.
