To Clean White-Wall Tries |

Conventional cleaners for white-wall tires are usually either the
soap-gel type or the paste-abrasive type. formula No.1 is a combination
of these two types. "Veegum" suspends the abrasive and prevents oozing
of water from the paste. It makes the consistency considerably more
workable for a product with such a high content of abrasive.
"Rayox' RG, titanium dioxide, enhances the whitening effect of the
cleaner because small amounts remain in the minute cracks invariably
present in white-wall tires.

Add the "Veegum" T to the water slowly, agitating continually until smooth. Add b to a and heat to 90'C. Dry blend c and add slowly to preceding, maintaining 90'C. Remove from heat and mix until smooth.
Formula No.2 An aqueous spray containing 15% Antaron FC-34 and 10 to 15% sodium metasilicate can safely be used for cleaning white-wall tires. This solution is harmless to the metal and finish of the car as well as to the white wall itself. Application is preferably by spraying all the tires and subsequently rinsing them off in the same order. |
