This solution can be applied by brushing, spraying, or dipping to all finished or semifinished metal surfaces. It leaves a very thin, almost invisible, coating which is highly protective after evaporation of the solvent. Although the protective film is actually oily, it is so thin that it appears to be dry. The solution can also be used after the last washing in phosphating processes. It is equally effective after the washing and cleaning of metals inn other processes because it inhibits surface moisture which may remain on the parts. It is usually in large tanks into which the metal parts are dipped. The water that accumulates at the bottom of the tank is drawn off periodically. |
