  • 无色针状晶体。密度1.005。沸点346℃，熔点111℃（升华）。极微溶于热水，溶于乙醇、乙醚和二硫化碳。蒸气和溶液都有刺激性。稀溶液呈蓝色荧光。
  • 用于制吖啶染料，也用作荧光PH值指示剂（fluorescent pH indicator,当pH值约4.5-5.5时能使荧光由绿色变为蓝色）。
